Ministry and Theology Psychology ProgramsThe field of ministry and theology is preferred by those who wish to pursue religious vocations. Programs are several times designed or constructed with an inclination towards specific belief systems. An example is Christianity which has several ministry and theology psychology programs specifically centered on it. Other belief systems for which programs are offered are Judaism, Hinduism and Buddhism. These programs may incorporate subjects or classes such as general studies, music, missions, theology, Biblical studies, leadership, counseling and psychology. In order to practice a vocation, the program being studied should be accredited. Additionally, individuals may need to meet license requirements. A case in point is Ministerial training where Ministers graduate from an accredited theological school. Those who complete theological training may choose to profess by being rabbis, ministers or monks. However, this discipline is not confined to religious vocations alone and can be chosen by professors and counselors who may have an academic interest coupled with a desire to help others. There are several programs offered in the theological discipline spanning Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degree programs. These are available through campus and online modes. Career prospects are positive in this discipline with several employment opportunities opening up as pastors, ministers, rabbis, etc., depending on the level of education. Teaching vocations also exist especially for those who would like to take up to academics. Salaries largely depend on the employer or the organization and usually are not high considering that most opportunities are considered to be service to God and society. This may not always be the rule where positions have been selected in art criticism, museums, galleries and careers in academia. Top institutions offering quality programs include University of Phoenix, Argosy University and Everest College of Business followed by South University and Brown Mackie College backed by strong academic credentials.
