The Facts about Counseling Psychology Degree ProgramsAre you are interested in psychology and understanding human behavior? Do you have an equal passion in helping people? If so, then a career in Counseling Psychology might be the right choice for you. Counseling Psychology is a demanding field that requires mental and physical stamina from counselors. Work settings usually include counseling centers in universities, individual environments, group practices, hospitals and health care facilities. Job outlook for this discipline is strong with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasting a growth 15% percent for all psychologists through 2016, faster than average for all occupations. Average annual salaries for counseling psychologists range from $28,401 to $67,161. The University of Phoenix offers several flexible programs related to Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on quality education. Argosy University specializes in distinctive psychology programs that lead to careers of caring. Everest College of Business has skilled educators with strong academic backgrounds and professional experience driving its programs. Following it are South University and Brown Mackie College also join the league with the former demonstrating academic excellence for over a century whereas the latter provides programs that help students reach their goals.
